The author studies the nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation \( \square u+m^2u+\lambda |u|^2u=0\), with \(\lambda \geq 0\), outside a slow Kerr black hole on Kerr metrics. It is shown that super-radiance is no obstacle to controlling the nonlinearity locally uniformly in time or asymptotically along null rays. The global Cauchy problem for large data with minimum regularity is solved. The massless case is discussed. For this purpose the author uses Penrose's technique of conformal compactification to prove the existence of smooth asymptotic profiles and Sommerfeld radiation conditions, at the horizon and at null infinity, for smooth solutions.
