The author describes the Newtonian graphs for polynomials of degree \(\leq 4\) and for cyclotomic polynomials of degree \(\leq 24\). He uses the definition of the Newtonian graphs given by \textit{M. Shub}, \textit{D. Tischler} and \textit{R. F. Williams} in [SIAM J. Math. Anal. 19, No. 1, 248-256 (1988; Zbl 0653.58013)]. The desription is deduced from the study of the alteration of the graph of a polynomial \(P(z)=k+O(z^ 2)\) when the constant term \(k\) is changed. Among the auxiliary results we mention the generation by the graph of the symmetric group of the roots and the description of sufficient conditions for the linearity of the graph. It is proved that in the Newtonian graph of a cyclotomic polynomial every critical point is connected to the root at 0.
