On the Jacobson radical and unit groups of group algebras (Q1281286)

Let \(G\) be a group and let \(K\) be a field of finite characteristic \(p\). The author studies the question when the unit group of the group ring \(KG\) is generated by \(G\), the non zero elements in \(K\) and the elements \(1+\text{rad}(KG)\) where rad denotes the Jacobson radical. The author gives results for locally finite groups with normal Sylow \(p\) subgroup, finite solvable groups, and groups with \(p'\)-Hall subgroup.
