    The authors discuss some numerical integration methods for solving initial value problems for a second-order differential equation of a special form (without the first derivative). The proposed method is based on the use of a full continuity quartic \(C^3\)-spline and a collocation technique. The advantage of such a method over Simpson's rule is that it has nonvanishing intervals of periodicity and absolute stability.
