Let \(R\) be a prime ring with extended centroid \(C\) and symmetric quotient ring \(Q\). The result proved in this note is that if \(d\) is a nonzero derivation of \(R\) and \(f\) is a nonzero endomorphism of \((R,+)\) so that \(d(x)f(x)=0\) for all \(x \in R\), then \(RC\) is a primitive ring with minimal right ideal \(eRC\), \(eRCe=eC\), and \(d(r)=qr - rq\) for some \(q \in eQ\). The result uses the fact that \(f(T)=0\) for a nonzero right ideal \(T\) of \(R\), proved in part I [\textit{M. Brešar, J. Škarabot} and \textit{J. Vukman}, ibid. 45, No. 2-3, 219-231 (1993; Zbl 0810.16035)], together with a very short computation.
