    It is proved the following result: Let \(X : = (X, {\mathcal O}_ X)\) be a complex space \(({\mathcal O}_ X\) may have nilpotents). Suppose that \(\varphi : X \to R\) is a smooth \(q\)-convex function in the sense of Andreotti and Grauert. Then for any continuous function \(\varepsilon : X \to (0, \infty)\) there is a section \(s \in \Gamma (X, {\mathcal D}_ X)\), \(q\)-convex in the sense of Fritzsche such that \[ \varphi \leq v(s) < \varphi + \varepsilon, \] where \(v : \Gamma (X, {\mathcal D}_ X) \to \Gamma (X, {\mathcal C}^ \infty_ X)\) is the canonical reduction morphism.
