The paper characterizes two properties of vector groups in relation to the class \(Y\) of homogeneously decomposable torsion-free abelian groups. Given an abelian vector group \(C\), a class \(Y\) is called a \(_CH\)-class, if \(\forall A, B\in Y\) Hom\((C, A)\cong\) Hom\((C, B)\) implies \(A\cong B\). Likewise, a more general class is defined: \(Y\) is called a \(_CEH\)-class, if \(\forall A, B\in Y\) Hom\((C, A)\cong\) Hom\((C, B)\) and End\((A)\cong\) End\((B)\) implies \(A\cong B\). One of the two main results is as follows: Theorem 1. \(Y\) is a \(_CH\)-class if and only if, the vector group \(C\) is of finite rank, it contains a direct summand isomorphic to \(Z\), and all types of direct summands of \(C\) of rank 1 are idempotent. Theorem 2. gives a characterization of \(_CEH\)-classes for some of the vector groups \(C\) and a class of homogeneously decomposable torsion-free abelian groups, under the condition of non-measurability.
