In this work, authors study Daubechies periodized wavelet packets and using it, they obtain approximation of periodic functions, providing a necessary condition extending well-known results in the literature. Another contribution of the paper is the definition of the thresholds technique, which is used to study compression errors. Using the introduced, developed wavelet packets better realistic results comparing Daubechies wavelet bases are given.
