A new formula for Kergin interpolation in the plane is established. It is used to prove that the Kergin interpolation polynomials at the roots of unity converge uniformly on the unique ball \(B^2\) if the given function is of class \(C^2\) in a neighborhood of \(B^2\). Note that we have an interpolation problem in 2-space and that \({\mathbb{R}}^2\) is not identified with \(\mathbb{C}\) in this framework.
