Orbital stability of numerical periodic nonlinear Schrödinger equation (Q2482959)

The authors consider theoretical aspects of the numerical solution of the one-dimensional periodic nonlinear Schrödinger equation with a small potential parameter in a semi-strip. Discrete systems obtained by the finite difference method associated with this problem are studied. The existence of discrete ground state solutions of the systems and its orbital stability are proved. The main result is the theorem of convergence of these ground states solutions to the solution of the continuous problem.
