Using the Leray-Schauder alternative and a fixed-point theorem in cones, the authors establish a multiplicity criterium for positive solutions of a second-order singular boundary value problem involving the one-dimensional \(p\)-Laplacian, where the boundary conditions take the form \[ u(0)= 0,\quad u(1)+ B(u'(1))= 0. \]
