Estimates on generalized eigenfunctions of two-term differential operator of even order (Q5951133)

The author considers a selfadjoint operator induced by the differential expression \[ (-1)^nd^{2n}u/dx^{2n} + q(x)u, \] where \(q(x)\) is a real locally integrable function on the whole real line. The author shows that the ordered spectral representation of the space \(L_2(\mathbb{R})\) with respect to this operator admits an analytic rescription and gives estimates (uniform with respect to \(x\in\mathbb{R}\) and the spectral parameter) on the generalized eigenfunctions of the operator as well as on the derivatives of the eigenfunctions of orders up to \(2n-1\).
