Waveform relaxation (WR) methods have recently captured considerable attention because of the potential applications in massive parallel computation. In the present paper the authors discuss WR-Gauss-Jacobi, WR-Gauss-Seidel and WR-successive overrelaxation in conjunction with Runge-Kutta methods. The main result of the paper refers to the convergence of the iterative schemes. A possible parallel implementation of these techniques is also discussed.
