I show how an argument used by Berkovich for analytic maps into algebraic curves shows that every non-Archimedean analytic map from the affine line into an Abelian variety is constant. In the case that the Abelian variety has degenerate reduction, one can map the affine line with a point removed into the Abelian variety in a non-constant way. I show that if any such map is contained in a proper subvariety \(X\) of the Abelian variety, then it must be contained in the translate of an Abelian subvariety contained in \(X\). This lets me present a non-Archimedean analogue of what is called Bloch's conjecture on holomorphic curves; namely that every non-Archimedean analytic map from the affine line into a projective variety with ample irregularity is contained in a proper subvariety. I conclude by explaining how this lends some support to my conjecture that a nonsingular projective algebraic variety defined over a \(p\)-adic field contains a nonconstant \(p\)-adic analytic curve if and only if it contains a rational curve.
