    Let \(L\) be a lattice with 1. The author calls \(L\) a lattice of lower finite breadth if \(\text{Prime} (L) = \bigcup^\infty_{n = 1} C_n\) where each \(C_n\) is a chain closed relative to infima containing 1 and for any \(x \in L\), \(x \neq 1\) there exists \(n \in \mathbb{N}\) such that \(x = p^1_x \wedge \dots \wedge p^n_x \wedge p^{n + 1}_0 \wedge p_0^{n + 2} \wedge \dots\) with \(p^k_x \in C_k\) and \(p^k_0 = \inf C_k\). The following is proved: Let \(L\) be a distributive continuous lattice where 1 is co-prime and let there exist a countable basis of open sets at 1 (with respect to natural topology). Then \(L\) has lower finite breadth if and only if the order ideal \(\downarrow a\) has finite breadth for any \(a \neq 1\).
