In the paper the concept of Nevai class of measures, \(M(a,b)\), is extended to (countable) families of orthogonality measures; this is done for a given regular summation method \(S\). Then an analogue of Nevai's theorem for weak limits [\textit{P. G. Nevai}, Orthogonal polynomials. Providence, RI: American Mathematical Society (AMS) (1979; Zbl 0405.33009), Theorem 14 in Section 4] is derived for weighted means of families of measures from the mean Nevai class \(M^{(S)}\). With additional assumption that \(S\) is a Nörlund method, also weak limits for weighted sums of Christoffel-Darboux kernels are derived. Finally, the developed theory is illustrated by a variety of summation methods that include, among others, the Cesàro \((C,\alpha)\) method, and the Legendre and Gegenbauer methods.
