The Hall triple systems (HTSs) are defined as the Steiner triple systems in which any three non-collinear points generate an affine plane or, equivalently, in which any symmetry is an automorphism (a symmetry \(\sigma_ a\) with fixed point a is defined by \(\sigma_ a(x)=y\) whenever \(\{\) x,y,a\(\}\) is a line). A Fischer group is defined as a group G in which the subset E of the order 2 is a generator set of G and \(\forall x\), \(y\in E\), \((xy)^ 3=1\). The permutation group G of a HTS generated by the symmetries is a centerless Fischer group. Conversely, if we define the ''lines'' of E(G) as the 3-subsets of the form \(\{\) x,y,z\(\}\) with \(x\neq y\) and \(z=xyx=yxy\), then the subset E of G determines a HTS. A HTS is said to be abelian in case it arises from some affine space over GF(3). The smallest nonabelian example of HTS contains \(3^ 4=81\) elements. The Fischer groups related to the non-affine HTS of order 81 are described and the structure of their automorphism groups is discussed.
