Some analogs of the Whitehead lemma are investigated for finite-dimensional Lie algebras over positive characteristics. It turns out that the cohomology of modular Lie algebras with coefficients in indecomposable modules is almost always trivial (\S1). For the Zassenhaus algebra all the indecomposable extensions are characterized with the help of irreducible modules (\S3). In \S4 a sufficient condition is given for the triviality of the cohomology. In \S5 it is proved that if the minimal ideal, which makes by characterizing a modular Lie algebra strongly solvable, is commutative, the Levi-Malcev theorem is valid.
