Essentially sharp bounds for small prime solutions \(p_ j\), \(q_ i\) of the following two different types of equations are obtained. \[ a_ 1p^ 2_ 1+...+a_ 5p^ 2_ 5=b,\quad c_ 1q_ 1+c_ 2q_ 2+c_ 3q^ k_ 3=d \] where the two sets of integers, \(a_ 1,...,a_ 5,b\) and \(c_ 1,c_ 2,c_ 3,d\) satisfy the congruent solubility condition and \(k\geq 1\) is an integer. These results are comparable with the well- known Meyer theorem on indefinite integral quadratic forms and the celebrated Vinogradov three primes theorem.
