Let \(M(n,\xi,\varphi,g)\) be a \((2n+1)\)-dimensional contact metric manifold. The authors prove the following results: (1) if \(M\) has non-vanishing \(\xi\)-sectional curvatures, then a second order parallel tensor on \(M\) is a constant multiple of the contact metric \(g\); (2) if \(n=1\) and the Lie derivative \(L_\xi\varphi\) satisfies a cyclic condition, then \(M\) is either Sasakian or locally isometric to certain canonical Lie groups with a left-invariant metric; (3) if \(Q\varphi=\varphi Q\) (\(Q\) is the Ricci operator) and the Weyl conformal curvature tensor is harmonic, then \(M\) is Einstein, provided that \(n>1\); (4) a projective vector field on a 3-dimensional Sasakian manifold \(M\) is either Killing or \(M\) has constant curvature 1; (5) if a Sasakian manifold \(M\) is conformally recurrent, then \(M\) is of constant curvature 1.
