Summary: We derive a sufficient condition for the existence of a positive solution for \[ \begin{cases} Lx=(t,x)+g(t,x),\quad t\in(\rho(a),\sigma(b))_{\mathbb T}\\ \alpha_1x(\rho(a))-\beta_1x^{[\Delta]}(\rho(a))=0,\\ \alpha_2x(\sigma(b))+\beta_2x^{[\Delta]}(b)=0,\end{cases}\tag{*} \] where the operator \(L\) is defined by \(Lx:=-(p(t)x^\Delta)^\nabla\), \(f(t,x)\) is continuous, \(g(t,x)\) is Lebesgue \(\nabla\)-integrable, \(p>0\) is \(\nabla\)-differentiable, \(\alpha_1,\alpha_2\geq0\), \(\beta_1,\beta_2>0\), with \(\alpha_1+\alpha_2>0\), and \[ \rho:=\alpha_1\beta_2+\alpha_2\beta_2+\alpha_1\alpha_2\int^{\sigma(b)}_{\rho(a)}\frac{1}{p(s)}\;\nabla s>0 \] by constructing a special cone. As a special case when \(\mathbb T=\mathbb R\), this result includes those of \textit{J. Liu} [Int. J. Math. Anal., Ruse 1, No.~25--28, 1377--1381 (2007; Zbl 1159.34313)]. This result is new in a general time scale setting. One example is given at the end of this paper to demonstrate the result.
