Uniqueness of the bistable traveling wave for mutualist species (Q5935519)

The author considers a system of reaction-diffusion equations modeling \(n\) mutualist species. Using a homotopy approach incorporated with the Lyapunov-Schmidt method, existence and uniqueness of bistable traveling wave solutions are studied when the nonlinear reaction terms possess certain type of monotonicity. The technique can be applied to study the existence and uniqueness of traveling wave solutions in other types of systems such as competition models.
