Let us consider the abstract differential equation \(\dot x(t)=Ax(t)+f(t)\), \(t\in\mathbb{R}\), under the assumption that \(A\) is the generator of a semigroup \(T\) of negative type in a Banach space \(X\) and \(f:\mathbb{R}\to X\) is a Bochner measurable function such that \(\sup_{t\in\mathbb{R}}\int^{t+1}_ t\| f(s)\| ds<\infty\). The author proves that if \(f\) has the property that \(\tilde f:\mathbb{R}_ +\to L^ p(]0,1[;x)\) defined by \(\tilde f(t)(s)=f(t+s)\) can be decomposed as \(\tilde f(t)=g(t)+q(t)\), \(t\geq 0\) with \(g:\mathbb{R}\to X\) almost periodic and \(q:\mathbb{R}_ +\to X\) continuous, then the differential equation has a unique mild solution given by \(x(t)=\int^ t_{-\infty}T(t-s)f(s)ds\) which has the same property as \(f\) and is also bounded conditions for the regularity of the solution are given as well as other existence results under different conditions on \(A\) and \(f\).
