The author continues his work published in [J. Fixed Point Theory Appl. 19, No. 3, 1825--1870 (2017; Zbl 1379.37033); Topol. Methods Nonlinear Anal. 53, No. 2, 427--446 (2019; Zbl 07130705)] on a Conley index theory for skew-product semiflows. In the present paper he considers applications to nonautonomous ordinary differential equations and semilinear parabolic equations. The present paper deals with attractor-repeller pairs and connecting homomorphisms for the associated homology Conley indices. The main result states that the connecting homomorphism is trivial if the attractor-repeller pair is not uniformly connected.
