For a real analytic manifold \(X\), a function \(f : X \rightarrow \mathbb{R}\) is called \textit{curve-analytic} if it is real analytic when restricted to any locally irreducible real analytic curve in \(X\). They prove that every curve-analytic function with subanalytic graph is real analytic. The authors achieve the result by introducing \((p,q)\)-\textit{test} (for arc-analytic functions). Suppose \(f:U \rightarrow \mathbb{R}\) is an arc-analytic function for open \(U\subset\mathbb{R}^n\). They show that \(f\) is real analytic on an open neighborhood of \(u\in U\) if and only if \(f\) satisfies the \((p,q)\)-test at the point \(u\) for all pairs of positive integers. They also discuss analogous results for \textit{Nash functions} on \textit{Nash manifolds} and some examples that explain the role of the \((p,q)\)-test.
