Recently, a new concept of \((q,c)\)-derivative operator of an analytic function, which generalizes the ordinary \(q\)-derivative operator is introduced in the paper by \textit{H. W. J. Zhang} [Adv. Appl. Math. 121, Article ID 102081, 23 p. (2020; Zbl 1456.05019)]. Using this operator, the concept of \((q,c)\)-Rogers-Szegö polynomials is given, and an expanded theorem involving \((q,c)\)-Rogers-Szegö polynomials is provided. Also, two kinds of \((q,c)\)-exponential operators are constructed and the authors apply them to \((q,c)\)-exponential functions and examine some of their properties. Lastly, some properties of \((q,c)\)-Rogers-Szegö polynomials are discussed. Inspired and motivated by the concept of \((q,c)\)-derivative operators, in the related paper it is shown that \((q,c)\)-hypergeometric polynomials involving \((q,c)\)-derivative operators are solutions of certain generalized \(q\)-difference equations. The authors define two homogeneous \((q,c)\)-difference operators \(T_c(a,b,d,u,v,xD_c,y)\) and \(E_c(a,b,d,u,v,x\theta_c,y)\), which turn out to be suitable for studying two families of generalized \((q, c)\)-Al-Salam-Carlitz polynomials \(\Phi_n^{(a,b,d,u,v,c)(x,y|q)}\) and \(Υ_n^{(a,b,d,u,v,c)}(x,y|q)\). They show that many \(q\)-identities such as generating functions, Andrews-Askey integrals, and \(U(n+1)\) type \(q\)-binomial formulas for generalized \(q\)-polynomials are derived by the method of \((q, c)\)-difference equations.
