Inverse problem for the nonlinear long wave runup on a plane sloping beach (Q6170096)

This article is concerned with an inverse problem for the long wave run-up on a plane sloping beach. The authors put forward a simple but effective explicit method of recovering initial data for the nonlinear shallow water system from the reading at the shoreline. The method is applied to the tsunami wave inverse problem.
