Imitating the topological entropy dimension introduced in [\textit{M. de Carvalho}, Port. Math. 54, No. 1, 19--40 (1997; Zbl 0965.37021)] for topological dynamical systems of zero topological entropy, in the present paper a notion of topological entropy dimension is proposed for nonautonomous dynamical systems. \par Several basic properties are discussed, using both the definition with open covers of a compact topological space and the one with separated and generatig subsets of a metric space. At the end of the paper one can find a family of examples of nonautonomous dynamical systems on the unit circle of zero topological entropy but of topological entropy dimension in $(0,1)$.
