    Let $X$ be a vector space over the real or complex numbers and $s\in (0,1]$. A function $\rho :X\rightarrow \lbrack 0,+\infty ]$ is called an $s$-convex semimodular if \par \begin{itemize} \item[(1)] $\rho (dx)=0$ for all $d\geq 0$ implies $x=0$, \item[(2)] $\rho (dx)=\rho (x)$ for all $d$ with the norm $1$, \item[(3)] $\rho (ax+by)\leq a^{s}\rho (x)+b^{s}\rho (y)$ for any $a,b\geq 0$, $a^{s}+b^{s}=1$. \end{itemize} Let $f:\mathbb{R}^{n}\rightarrow \mathbb{R}$ be a monotone norm on $\mathbb{R }^{n}$, $\rho _{1},\dots,\rho _{n-1}$ $s$-convex semimodulars defined on $X$ and put $\rho =\max \{\rho _{1},\dots,\rho _{n-1}\}$. As a corollary of a more general result, it is proved that the function \[ \left\Vert x\right\Vert _{f}=\inf_{k>0}\left\{kf(e_{1}+\sum_{i=1}^{n-1}\rho _{i}( \frac{x}{k^{1/s}})e_{i+1})\right\} \] is an $s$-convex norm on the $s$-semimodular space $X_{\rho }=\{x\in X:\rho (dx)<\infty $ for some $d>0\}$ that generalizes the classical Luxemburg and Orlicz-Amemiya norms. Then the authors study order continuity, the Fatou property and various monotonicity properties of $s$-semimodular spaces with these $s$-norms.
