The author chooses to take a micromechanics approach to derive the structure of a nonlinear filtration law [that strongly deviates compared to the linear (Darcy) case]. This setting is referred here as belonging to the class of Forchheimer laws. The working strategy is both intuitive and innovative, just that it appears to be quite hard to justify mathematically the proposed steps.
