    In this paper, some new discrete Wirtinger-Northcott inequalities are established. In particular, one of the results established is the following: Let \(n \ge 3\), \(1 \le p\le\infty\), \(x \in \mathbb R^n\) and \(\| Dx \|\) is the periodic difference of a \(x \in \mathbb R^n\) such that \(\sum^{n}_{i=1}x_i =0\). We have \[ c_1(p,n)\| x\|_p\le \| D x\|_{\infty}\le 2^{1-\frac1{p}}\| x\|_{p}, \] where \[ c_{1}(p,n)=\begin{cases} \left( 2\sum_{i=0}^{\frac{(n-2)}{2}}\| -\frac{n}{4}+i\|^{p}\right)^{-\frac{1}{p}}, & n\text{ is even,} \\ \left( 2\sum_{i=0}^{\frac{(n-3)}{2}}\| -\frac{(n-1)^{2}}{4n}+i\|^{p}+\| \frac{n^{2}-1}{4n}\|^{p}\right)^{-\frac{1}{p}}, & n\text{ is odd} \end{cases} \] for \(p<\infty \) and \(c_{1}(\infty ,n)=\lambda (n)\). For \(p=\infty ,\) the right hand side of the inequality should be interpreted as \(2\left\Vert x\right\Vert _{\infty}\). Both equalities can be achieved for every \(p\) and \(n\).
