Disjoint hypercyclic and supercyclic operators were introduced and studied independently by \textit{L. Bernal-González} [Stud. Math. 182, No. 2, 113--131 (2007; Zbl 1134.47006)] and by \textit{J. Bès} and \textit{A. Peris} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 336, No. 1, 297--315 (2007; Zbl 1129.47007)]. This paper investigates these notions in the context of Taylor type operators, that is, those which map a holomorphic function to a partial sum of the Taylor expansion. The authors prove that disjoint hypercyclicity is equivalent to disjoint supercyclicity for families of Taylor type operators. A~sufficient condition for the disjointness of supercyclicity for Taylor type operators, which is different from the one provided by the characterization, is proved as well. Several results of \textit{V. Vlachou} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 448, No. 2, 1318--1330 (2017; Zbl 1375.30094)] are made use of in the proofs of the main results.
