Let \(f\) be an elliptic full-modular Hecke eigenform, and \(c_n\) be the \(n\)-th Fourier coefficient of the \(m\)-th symmetric power \(L\)-function \(L(s,f;sym_m)\) for \(f\). The Riesz mean is defined by \(c_n\)'s, and the main term is given by the special value \(L(0,f,sym_m)\). In the paper, the error term is studied, and two theorems are given. One is a truncated Voronoi-type formula for this term in case of \(m=2\), which is the correct statement of Theorem 1 of [\textit{O. M. Fomenko}, Zap. Nauchn. Semin. POMI 314, 247--256, 290 (2004); translation in J. Math. Sci., New York 133, No. 6, 1749--1755 (2006; Zbl 1094.11018)]. Another is also this type for general \(m\) under an acceptable hypothesis on \( L(s,f;sym_m)\). This hypothesis is called \(Nice(m:f)\), which is true in case of \(m \leq 4\).
