Let \(K\) be a compact set in the complex plane \(C\) with a positive logarithmic capacity and a triangular array \(Z=\{z_{n,k}\}_{1\leq k\leq n, n\in N}\) of points in \(K\). Let \(\mu_{K}\) be the equilibrium measure of \(K\) and \(\nu_{n}\) the normalized counting measures associated with the rows of \(Z\). In this paper the following theorem of \textit{R. Taylor} and \textit{V. Totik} [IMA J. Numer. Anal. 30, No. 2, 462--486 (2010; Zbl 1193.41003)] i.e., ``Let \(K=[-1,1]\). If \(\nu_{n}\) are asymptotically distributed like \(\mu_{k}\) and if each pair of points in the \(n\)th row of \(Z\) satisfies the distancing rule \( |z_{n,j}-z_{n,k}|\geq c_{1}\left(\frac{\sqrt{1-|z_{n,j}|}}{n}+\frac{\sqrt{1-|z_{n,k}|}}{n}+\frac{1}{n^{2}}\right)\), \(1\leq j, k\leq n\), \(j\neq k\) for some constant \(c_{1}>0\), then Lebesgue constants \(\Lambda_{n}\) are subexponential'' have been extended to the case of an arbitrary quasi-conformal arc and simplified its original proof by using the approximation theory in the complex plane idea of Chapter-IX of \textit{V. K. Dzyadyk} [Introduction to the theory of uniform approximation of functions by polynomials. (Vvedenie v teoriyu ravnomernogo priblizheniya funktsij polinomami) (Russian). Moskva: Izdatel'stvo ``Nauka'' (1977; Zbl 0481.41001)].
