The author considers the nonlinear equation \[ (\varphi_p(x'))'+(p-1)[\alpha\varphi_p(x^+)-\beta\varphi_p(x^-)]+ f(x)+g(x)=e(t), \] where \(\varphi_p(u)=|u|^{p-2}u\), \(p\geq 2\) is a constant, \(x^+=\max\{x,0\}\), \(x^-=\max\{-x,0\}\), \(\alpha,\beta\) are positive constants satisfying \(\alpha^{-1/p}+\beta^{-1/p}=2m/n\) for some \(m,n\in\mathbb{N}\), \(f\) and \(g\) are bounded \(C^6\) functions, and the limits \(\lim_{x\to+\infty}f(x)\), \(\lim_{x\to-\infty}f(x)\) are finite. Moreover, \(g\) has a sublinear primitive, and \(e(t)\in C^7\) is a \(2\pi/[p\sin(\pi/p)]\)-periodic function. He gives effective conditions which are sufficient for all solutions to the above equation to be bounded. The proof is based on a series of transformations, and showing the existence of an invariant closed curve of an appropriate Poincaré map, where a variant of Moser's theorem [\textit{R. Ortega}, Proc. Lond. Math. Soc., III. Ser. 79, No.~2, 381-413 (1999; Zbl 1030.34035)] is used.
