A note on free paratopological groups (Q715650)

The author studies the topological structure of a free (abelian) paratopological group over a topological space and calculates its character. In particular, he proves that the character of an abelian paratopological group \(AP(X)\) over a topological space \(X\) is equal to the cofinality of the countable power \(\mathcal U_X^\omega\) of the finest quasi-uniformity \(\mathcal U_X\) generating the topology of \(X\). Another result says that for each \(P\)-space its free (abelian) paratopological group is a \(P\)-space.
