The authors present a new class of high-order finite-volume Hermite targeted essentially non-oscillatory (HTENO) schemes for solving hyperbolic conservation laws. The schemes were constructed based upon the TENO frameworks but use Hermite polynomials instead of Lagrange polynomials. The HTENO schemes explore the beneficial features of both the Hermite-type and TENO schemes, yielding less dissipative results and capturing discontinuities better than the standard schemes. Some numerical tests are presented which show the proposed schemes improve the shock-capturing performance and inherits the good small-scale resolution of the TENO scheme.
