The structure of decomposable indistinguishability operators (i.e., reflexive, symmetric and T-transitive fuzzy relations, T being a t-norm) are investigated. Several results discuss decomposable symmetric fuzzy relations and indistinguishability operators with a continuous Archimedean t-norm. Also, it is shown how fuzzy numbers can be used to define indistinguishability operators, leading to a new construction method for such operators.
