In this paper we shall give the 0-th stable cohomotopy group of \(G_ 2\), the exceptional Lie group, by means of \textit{G. Walker}'s method in Bull. London Math. Soc. 9, 93-96 (1977; Zbl 0347.55007) and \textit{S. Oka}'s accurate study of the stable homotopy type of \(G_ 2\) in Proc. Edinb. Math. Soc., II. Ser. 29, 145-169 (1986; Zbl 0604.55005)]. We shall also determine the ring structure by the results of \textit{P. Eccles} and \textit{G. Walker} [J. Lond. Math. Soc., II. Ser. 22, 153-160 (1980; Zbl 0427.55011)]. Then we shall be able to recover that \([G_ 2,L]=\kappa\).
