The authors obtain new Sobolev-Poincaré inequalities in (irregular) \(\varphi\)-John domains. To do so, some new pointwise estimate for the Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator is deduced. The Sobolev-Poincaré inequality features parameters that depend on the geometry of the domain. The sharpness of the obtained results is also discussed.
