    From the text: The point of this article is to show that modified equations have potential use outside of numerical analysis. To illustrate this, at the end of this article, we use a modified equation to prove the equation \[ \left( \arcsin \frac{b}{2}\right) ^{2}=\frac{1}{2}\sum_{k=1}^{\infty }\frac{ \left( k-1\right) !^{2}}{\left( 2k\right) !}b^{2k} \] and, by a corollary, the Basel problem.
