A common fixed point theorem of Jungck type in \(bv(s)\)-metric spaces is proved. As a corollary, a common fixed point theorem of \textit{Z. D. Mitrović} and \textit{S. Radenović} [Acta Math. Hung. 153, No. 2, 401--407 (2017; Zbl 1399.54135)] in the rectangular \(b\)-metric space is obtained.
