On an extended second Painlevé hierarchy (Q2013164)

The authors present an extension of the second Painleve hierarchy (a hierarchy of integrable ODEs) that they call `extended second Painlevé hierarchy'. They construct a Lax pair for the hierarchy and study (auto-) Bäcklund transformations. The work builds on the method of non-isospectral deformation, studied in [\textit{D. Levi} et al., Theor. Math. Phys. 93, No. 3, 1 (1992; Zbl 0801.35122)], and further developed by the authors [J. Math. Phys. 40, No. 11, 5749--5786 (1999; Zbl 1063.37544)]. The paper under review is full of detailed computations but the Painlevé property of the equations of the hierarchy is not addressed explicitly.
