The author considers the Weyl quantisation of symbols \(\sigma\) that are homogeneous tempered distributions on \(\mathbb{R}^2\). The main results of the article (Proposition 4 and Proposition 3) are sufficient and necessary conditions on \(\sigma\) under which the Weyl quantisation \(\sigma^w\) is bounded on \(L^2(\mathbb{R})\).
