This paper proves the following result which is a weak version of a conjecture of Daverman. Suppose that \(G\) is a u.s.c decomposition of \(S^{n}\) such that for any \(p \in \pi(H_{G})\) and open set \(U\) containing \(p\) there is an open set \(V\) such that \(p \in V\subset U\) and Bd\(V\) is an \((n-1)\)-sphere which misses \(\pi(H_{g})\) and satisfies the mismatch property. Then \(G\) is shrinkable and \(S^{n}/G\) is homeomorphic to \(S^{n}\). An \((n-1)\)-sphere in \(S^{n}\) has the mismatch property if and only if it bounds two crumpled \(n\)-cubles \(C_{0}\) and \(C_{1}\), and there exist \(F_{\sigma}\)-sets \(F_{i}\) in Bd\(C_{i}\) such that \(F_{i} \cup\) Int\(C_{i}\) is 1-ULC for \(i=1,2\) and with \(F_{0} \cap F_{1} = \emptyset\).
