Some definitions of generalized Lipschitz functions from the literature are given. In the paper the following functions are considered. Definition 5. Let \({(X,d)}\) and \({(Y,d')}\) be metric spaces. A function \({f:X\to Y}\) is called Lipschitz with respect to a function \({g:X\to X}\) if there exist a constant \({M\geq 0}\) such that \[ {d'(f(x),f(y))\leq M\cdot d(g(x),g(y))} \quad\text{for all }{x,y\in X}. \] The smallest number \({M\geq 0}\) satisfying the above relation is called the Lipschitz constant of \(f\) and is denoted by \(\text{lip}_g f\). The author obtains two results about this type of functions. The first one is a version of McShane's theorem on extensions of real-valued Lipschitz functions from a subset of a metric space to the whole space. The value \({\text{lip}_g f}\) is preserved under this extension. The second result is the theorem on approximation in sup-metric of a bounded uniformly continuous functions by a generalized Lipschitz function.
