    Unter \(A_k\) werde die Klasse der Funktionen \(f(x)\) verstanden, die den Bedingungen genügen: (a) \(f(x)=f(x + 2\pi)\), (b) \(f(x), \,f'(x), \ldots \! , f^{(k-1)}(x)\) sind totalstetig, \[ (\text{c}) \;\; \frac{1}{2\pi} \int\limits_{0}^{2\pi} f(x) \,dx=0. \] Verf. zeigt: Gehört \(f(x)\) zu \(A_k\), so ist \[ \text{Max } |\,f(x)\,| \leqq a_k \text{ Max } |\,f^{(k)}(x)\,| \tag{1} \] mit \[ \begin{aligned} & a_k=\frac{4}{\pi} \left( \frac{1}{1^{k+1}}+\frac{1}{3^{k+1}}+ \frac{1}{5^{k+1}}+ \cdots \right) \; \text{ für ungerades } k, \\ & a_k=\frac{4}{\pi} \left( \frac{1}{1^{k+1}}-\frac{1}{3^{k+1}}+ \frac{1}{5^{k+1}}- \cdots \right) \; \text{ für gerades } k. \end{aligned} \] Überdies gibt es zu jedem ganzen \(k > 0\) eine nicht identisch verschwindende Funktion \(f(x)\) der Klasse \(A_k\), für die in (1) das Gleichheitszeichen gilt.
