Let \(G\) be a group. We call \(G\) of type \((\Phi)\) if it has the following property: For every \(\mathbb{Z} G\)-module \(M\): \[ (\text{proj.dim}_{\mathbb{Z} G}M<\infty)\Leftrightarrow(\text{proj.dim}_{\mathbb{Z} H}M< \infty,\text{ for every finite subgroup \(H\) of \(G\)}). \] The aim of this paper is to characterize groups of type \((\Phi)\). The author gives some conjectures and proves certain parts of them.
