In this very good paper the authors study the nonlinear neutral differential equation \[ (x(t)- p(t)g(x(t-\tau)))^{(n)}+ q(t)h(x(t-\delta))=0, \qquad t\geq t_0,\tag{1} \] where \(p\), \(g\), \(q\), \(h\) are continuous functions, \(\tau>0\), \(\delta\geq 0\) and \(n\) is odd. Using an associated linear neutral differential equation with constant coefficients there are proved sufficient conditions under which every solution of (1) oscillates. In the end there are proved necessary and sufficient conditions for the oscillation of (1) with \(p(t)= p>1\), \(g(x)\equiv x\).
