    In 1979 \textit{E. K. van Douwen} and \textit{W. F. Pfeffer} [Pac. J. Math. 81, 371--377 (1979; Zbl 0409.54011)] gave the definition of \(D\)-property. In 2009, \textit{V. V. Tkachuk} [Topology Appl. 156, No. 4, 840--846 (2009; Zbl 1165.54009)] introduced a notion of monotone monolithicity. In this paper, the author continues \(D\)-property, monotone monolithicity and shows the following results: (1) If \(X\) is \(\sigma\)-product and Lindelöf \(\sum\)-spaces, then \(C_p(X)\) is semi-monotone monolithic space and hence is monolithic. (2) If \(\{X_{\alpha}:\alpha\in \Lambda\}\) is a family of topological spaces such that \(\Pi_{i\leq n} X_{\alpha_i}\) is a \(D\)-space for each \(n\in\mathbb N\) and \(\alpha_i\in \Lambda\) for each \(i\leq n\), then any \(\sigma\)-product of \(\{X_{\alpha}:\alpha\in \Lambda\}\) is a \(D\)-space. (3) If \(Y\) is a dense subspace of a topological space \(X\) with \(|X\setminus Y|\leq \omega \) such that \(C_p(X)\) is monotonically monolithic, the \(C_p(X)\) is monotonically monolithic. (4) If \(X\) is a \(k\)-in-countable weak base for some \(k\in \mathbb N\), then \(X\) is a \(D\)-space.
